Exempt
  • customer-formula feed (§ 25-2704(1))
  • chews with no nutritional claim (rawhide, hooves, ears, bones, antlers, pizzles etc.) are exempt from registration (Pet Treats pamphlet)
  • products already registered by another person and distributed in the original package (§ 25-2704(5))
Tonnage noteNo tonnage or inspection fee in Idaho (AAFCO Idaho: 'Inspection Fees and Reports: n/a'; Idaho Code title 25 ch. 27 has no inspection-fee section) — the $40/product registration fee is the only charge

How the online filing goes

  1. Log in
  2. Company Information (from user guide — screen not seen; same data as the credential request email)
  3. Main Page → 'Please choose a type' → add new products
  4. Invoice → Pay Invoice (online)
  5. Renewal season (each fall — 'IT IS RENEWAL TIME' on the Main Page)

Your packet lists every value for each screen. Pay the FFS invoice online by card at onlinepay.isda.idaho.gov (a service charge applies; posting takes 7–10 days and the invoice shows 'payment pending' meanwhile). Registrations are not valid until paid in full. The portal does not describe a check option — ask FFS@isda.idaho.gov if a mailed check to ISDA, P.O. Box 7249, Boise, ID 83707 is accepted.

Forms

Good to know

  • Off-cycle year: Oct 1 – Sep 30, deadline Oct 31 — the only fall deadline in this batch.
  • Idaho's cottage-food law does not apply to animal feed; homemade treats must be fully labeled (guaranteed analysis + calorie content) and registered.
  • Review can take up to 90 days after submission and payment; certificate is downloaded from the portal.
  • No paper application PDF is published — registration is portal-only; a 'contact person' is given when requesting credentials.
