| Third-party filing | agent_account: “MDAR ePLACE instructions (forms/MA/eplace-instructions-le100-products.pdf, pp. 7 & 9): 'Note – If you are the 3rd party company hired to complete the registration, please do not enter the 3rd party details here.' … 'Authorized Representative Company Details: An Authorized Representative is an individual who is not an employee of the registering company but has been contracted as a third party to handle the product registration on the company's behalf. Identify if you are an Authorized Representative. If you are then, add the Authorized Representative Company details.' — the third party files from its OWN personal ePLACE account and the record type carries a built-in Authorized Representative role (not just a paper signature block).” |

Good to know
- No firm license and no tonnage: the only instrument is $100/product/year.
- Registration is approved first, then invoiced by email; the confirmation email listing approved products IS the registration certificate (no paper certificate).
- New products, label updates and cancellations are accepted year-round; renewals only Oct 1 – Dec 31.
- ePLACE application has an explicit 'Authorized Representative' step for contracted third parties — the registrant company goes in Company Information, the agent in the Authorized Representative section.
- MDAR says 'allow several weeks for processing' during the ePLACE transition.
