Details

Firm license fee	$15 $15 per facility; out-of-state firm with no NE facility licenses its principal out-of-state office. Combined 'Firm Registration Certificate' form also covers fertilizer ($25) and ag lime ($5).
Product fee	$25 $25/product/year 'Small Package Fee' for products sold ONLY in packages ≤10 lb, in lieu of tonnage, paid in January for all such products sold in Nebraska during the previous calendar year. Product sold in both ≤10 lb and larger sizes: tonnage applies to all of it (no small-package fee).
Product late fee	25% late fee for fees submitted after the due date (nebraska.gov FAQ)
Renewal window	due no later than Jan 31 (retrospective: covers products sold the prior year)
Tonnage note	$25/product small-package fee replaces tonnage for ≤10 lb-only products. Tonnage ($0.065/ton; $5 min per period if any tons reported; $0 if zero tons but form must still be returned) covers pet food in >10 lb or mixed sizes. Late: +25% after Aug 15/Feb 15, another +25% after Aug 31/Feb 28. Proposed rule (hearing Oct 6 2025) raises rate to $0.15/ton.

Cheapest firm license in the batch ($15); one combined firm form for feed/fertilizer/lime.
Tonnage forms are mailed by NDA in June and December (not downloadable); zero-ton forms must still be returned.
Semi-annual tonnage inspection fee may rise from $0.065 to $0.15/ton (rulemaking hearing Oct 6, 2025) — check Title 25 Ch. 3 before quoting.
Paper firm form collects full credit-card data including the 3-digit code — advise clients to pay by check or AccessGov instead.
