How the online filing goes

  1. Online or paper?
  2. Order of operations — file first, pay only after SCDA approves (online route)
  3. Sign In → Register as New User (Create your new user login)
  4. Dashboard → Business details (from user guide; labels from CPD Form #1000)
  5. License/Permit → Feed Products (from user guide)
  6. Approval email → pay by link (payment screen not seen)

Your packet lists every value for each screen. Online filings: nothing is paid at submission. After the Feed Registration Specialist approves the products (1–2 weeks) SCDA emails a payment link into the portal; pay $20 per product ($15 registration + $5 technology processing) within 15 days of approval or add a $10/product late fee. Card payment expected; accepted brands, e-check and any convenience fee are not published (login-only screen). Paper filings: one check for $20 × products payable to South Carolina Department of Agriculture, mailed WITH the form and labels to Attn: Feed Registration, 123 Ballard Court, West Columbia, SC 29172.

Forms

Good to know

  • Portal payment is two-step: submit products → SCDA reviews (1–2 weeks) → email with payment link; late fee clock ($10/product) runs 15 days from approval.
  • Home-kitchen pet treats are allowed but 'discouraged'; home kitchen may be inspected on complaint.
  • CBD/hemp animal food is prohibited.
  • Paper form is capped at ~30 products; larger lines must use the portal.
